Excellent for wall-mantelling but for practicing with, not the greatest. Pros and cons of using this type of sai. Pros: Beautiful look. Great Price. Durable. Con: Not right material to practice with. Heavy. If you are buying this product and don't know much about the sai, I strongly suggest you also buy the instructional DVD. Save yourself the pain...literally!
